What is FMGE / NExT?

FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduates Examination) — now being replaced by NExT (National Exit Test) — is the Indian medical licensing exam that Indian students who studied MBBS abroad must clear to practice medicine in India. Without passing this exam, you cannot register with the Indian Medical Council and cannot work as a doctor in India.
