Programs Offered at DMSF

Davao Medical School Foundation offers two integrated programs that together form the complete medical education pathway recognised under NMC India regulations.

1. BS Pre-Medicine Program (1 Year)

Duration: 12 months / 2 semesters
Cost: ₹10.4 Lakhs (all-inclusive)

The BS Pre-Medicine program is a foundation year that prepares students for the rigorous MD program ahead. Subjects include:

• General Biology (advanced level)
• General Chemistry & Organic Chemistry
• Physics (relevant to medicine)
• Mathematics & Statistics
• Communication and Health Ethics
• Introduction to clinical medicine

2. MD - Doctor of Medicine Program (4.5 Years)

Duration: 54 months / 9 semesters
Cost: $24,750 USD (~₹20.8 Lakhs) — $2,750 per semester

The core medical education program with 4.5 years of academic and clinical training:

• Years 1-2: Pre-clinical (Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine)
• Year 3: Para-clinical and beginning clinical rotations
• Years 4-5: Full clinical training (Medicine, Surgery, OBGY, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Psychiatry, Dermatology, Radiology, Anaesthesia)

3. Mandatory 12-Month Internship

After the MD program, all students complete a mandatory 12-month clinical internship at DMSF\'s teaching hospitals. This internship is included in the course structure and is required to meet NMC\'s "54+12 months in same country" rule.

Total Pathway

BS Pre-Med (1 yr) + MD (4.5 yrs) + Internship (1 yr) = 6.5 years

After completion, Indian students appear for NExT (formerly FMGE) to practice in India. Graduates can also pursue USMLE for US residency.
